The mood turned humorous though, when they began to discuss some of the, shall we say, "stranger" gifts that they received. Though wonderfully appreciative of the generosity shown towards them, they wondered why any human beings needed "that many" kitchen appliances?
The conversation turned towards how surprised and happy the couple would be if they really received some super cool gifts. For instance, what if the guy received a new golf club? He would go nuts with excitement. Of course, they protested, they could never ever register for such gifts because they would seem, tacky.
That's where you all come in. Next time you need a gift for a wedding, forget about their registry. You will be the all star they will never forget by getting one or both of them a gift that they will freak over. Get the guy a new golf bag or golf club; a gift card to go shoot sporting clays at the nearest range; or a round of golf for 18 holes. Trust me, they will get enough kitchen appliances.
